Get More Out Of Your Walk With God

In case you think you're too old, by definition, a follower of Jesus keeps taking steps, no matter how long you have been following. As I get older, I may not run as fast, but I don't have to. I take bigger steps.

To get the most out of our spiritual walk with Christ after 60, we all need to take 6000 to 8,000 steps a day. Why? Your spiritual health, like every aspect of your life, is directly tied to your physical health.

One key factor in maintaining my physical fitness is my fitness watch. I have found that when I don't track how much I walk, I tend to think I am doing more than enough. But all it takes is a walk or a hike with some friends to remind me that I am not getting enough walking or strength training.

The good news, although they are amazing, you don't have to spend $400 on an Apple Watch. If you search for deals, you can get a basic watch that will do all you need for under $60.

So, get a watch and go to our Facebook page, "Hey You, Take A hike," find out when our next hike is, and start taking steps to become a better follower.
