If You Could Put Someone On A Trading Card, Who Would It Be -and Why?

WHETHER YOUR PLAYGROUND has a pickleball net or swings and a curving slide, you’ll love this story from Japan. In the small town of Kawara, the kids are "trading in" their "trading cards" of baseball players, Pokémon, and superheroes for cards of middle-aged and older men who have made a real difference in their community (Original Story in the Flyover).

AS I READ THIS STORY, several "trading card" worthy people came to mind—people who made a positive difference not only in my life but also in the lives of their families and communities- some even globally. People who shared their wisdom and served selflessly with passion.

QUESTION: Realizing that for most of us, there are many, if you could name just one or two people to put on a trading card, who would it be, and why?

SOMETHING TO THINK ON: I'm not sure about getting your face on a "trading card", but it's never too late to love, encourage, and serve those in your family and community. If you were aware of a need or an opportunity to serve and help others, retirement is the perfect opportunity to become "trading card" worthy in their eyes.

REMEMBER: We may be in the final chapter, but our story is not over. Let's make the ending exciting.
