It’s Malachi’s World! I Am Thankful He “Wants” Me It.

Yesterday, my 4-year-old grandson and I got to spend the afternoon together, just the two of us, while Nanna and his older brother went shopping for Christmas gifts.
We wrestled, we screamed, we ate peanut butter and apples. Then we jumped from one piece of furniture to the next... hey, I just found out there are alligators in the water between the ottoman and sofa.
We Danced. Yes, I can dance... stop laughing. I can dance, but this kid has got the "Moves Like Jagger" (check out the video below). We ate a peach gummy. We threw pillows at each other. I held him upside down by his feet. He must have liked that, he said, “Do it again, Papaw,” like 20 times. I finally talked him into “doing his homework”, also known as "doing a coloring book," so I could rest. I went to bed last night and slept like a 4-year-old.
I am thankful now for all the times that I ate a salad instead of a Whooper. I am grateful that I went to the gym all the times I really didn’t feel like it. I am thankful for all the walks I took with Jean instead of watching old reruns of “Perot”.
Do what it takes to take care of yourself, and you will get to stay longer in “their” world.
