At thirty-nine years old, I was told, "You can have about 8 months without chemotherapy and radiation." All of a sudden, I wanted to cram every bit of living into the time I had left. A few months ago, God used an open-heart surgery to remind me once more that my time is limited and to concentrate on how I wish to spend it.

Most people feel uneasy thinking about death, let alone discussing it. Yet most of us certainly don’t want to get to the end of our lives only to have a bunch of regrets. In case you haven’t considered it, in this last season of our life on earth. Are you spending it the way you wanted to?

Here is the conclusion I have come to... Living the best life we can means living each day in a way that enhances the lives of those around us, both now and in the future.
