Spoiled Grand Kids Usually Grow Up To Be Confused Adults.

Giving our grandkids nice things and spoiling them are two different concepts. One shows your love for them while teaching them the rewards of hard work and financial wisdom, while the other encourages laziness and a lack of discipline.

When we don't make our kids do chores around the house, we make it really hard on their future spouse. When we don't make them get a high school job, we teach them a poor work ethic. When we constantly give them money or do not require them to pay back money they borrow, we are setting them up for a financial disaster as adults.

As grandparents, it's our job to help the parents give our grandkids what they need for life, not whatever they want right now...well, maybe a little of what they want.
