The Most Memorable (and usually most fun) Times Come When We Break Our Routine Or Step Out Of Our Comfort Zone.

Although I've had a lot of people laugh and tell me, "I'll never do that again," I can't recall too many expressing regret about trying something new, even if it didn't turn out as expected. Yet, I have frequently heard statements like, "I wish I had tried that", I've always wanted to do that," or "I would have tried that but I was afraid something would go wrong".
It was way past our bedtime but Jean and I laughed and sang along with the Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute band. We didn't get home until after midnight and were exhausted the next day. Since then we have been to both an "Eagles" and a "Highwaymen" tribute concert. We have plans to do another in a few months.
Besides the possibility of dying 😳 (Which "SkyDive Monroe" reminded us of several times with signed documents), getting up early and driving an hour and a half, and ending up with bruised buns; jumping out of an airplane at 14000 feet with my two grandsons was one of the most memorable and fun days of my life. My daughter, granddaughter, and I have talked about doing it together next year.
Along with remortgaging the house (well maybe it didn't cost that much😁), it took 8 hours to drive to Panama City Beach Florida. where we spent the week with 98-degree temperatures. Seeing Layla (our granddaughter) perform and place first in several categories at the National Dance Competitions., golfing with my grandsons, and walking on the beach with my wife and daughter... priceless.
It was 95 degrees, our clothes were soaked from the sweat, and we ran out of water when we hiked eight miles in one day to see three waterfalls. WE WILL NOT DO THAT AGAIN! 😂
Like the guy below, even when things don't go as planned, even if it causes us a little discomfort, we know it is worth the fun the laughs, and the memories.
Living with memories that make me laugh is better than living with regrets that make me sad.
