Valentine's is the one day of the year we show them we love them with gifts. The other 364 days, we show them by what we do.

Ladies, you will thank me in advance for what I am about to share. Men, you probably will not until you see the results.

Today is the first day of the week that Valentine's falls in, which makes it part of Valentine's week.

YES THAT IS A THING! Valentine's Week carries a special meaning, celebrating unique expressions of love and affection. The seven "Days of Love" are Rose Day, Propose Day, Chocolate Day, Teddy Day, Promise Day, Hug Day, and my favorite... Kiss Day.

In my now 49 years of being in love with Jean, I can buy her gifts and tell her that I love her on Valentine's Day, but it's not until I serve her, protect her, encourage her, provide for her, respect her, and walk with her in the rain-even when I don't feel like it, that is really love.

"Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;[a] 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
