We Can't Let Circumstances Determine If We Are Going To Have A Good Day

What do you do when the weather channel predicts "No chance of rain," and you plan your day for a hike, but upon arrival, rain pours off your umbrella like a waterfall... you head to the waterfalls.
Despite the rain yesterday, Jean and I huddled closer under the umbrella, which made us laugh, and we continued our hike to Duke Creek Falls in North Georgia. Have you ever observed that when plans go awry, it often leads to a more exciting adventure?
It ended up being a wonderful (Mostly Sunny) day. After completing our 2.3-mile hike, which was considered easy to moderate, to see all four waterfalls, we drove twelve minutes to "Creek Side Deli." There, we met Kristie, the manager, and enjoyed an excellent lunch. Want to know how to judge if a burger is truly delicious? Count the napkins you need. Clearly, it was quite tasty.
Naturally, every adventure includes a visit to "Dairy Queen" for a dipped ice cream cone.
We also managed to go "Krogering". After all, it's Friday with 4 times the fuel points; we saved $13, which covered half of our lunch bill at Creekside Deli. We even found time to wash our cars and watch a "Brit murder mystery".
As I have grown older, I have learned that when you don't let rain decide what kind of day you have, it usually turns out sunny with a chance of fun (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
