We did it, folks—we made it through the darkest times. Let there be light!

THIS IS NOT ABOUT WHAT YOU THINK IT IS. The sun will set after 6 pm in Forsyth County (Georgia) tonight, and there won’t be another pre-6 pm sunset here until November. The future is so bright that you’ll have to wear shades...1 minute longer today. I am an early bird, but getting up at 4:30 is too early, even for me. Maybe the additional light may help our legislators see how to end this outdated time change.

RESEARCH INDICATES THAT DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME (DST) interferes with individuals' natural sleep patterns and other biological cycles, causing adverse health effects such as fatigue, reduced alertness, and a higher likelihood of accidents, especially, during the clock change period. This disturbance can affect productivity, mood, and general well-being, particularly for children and people over 60. In other words, THE HUMAN BODY IS NOT DESIGNED TO RESET ITS INTERNAL CLOCK!

THE ORIGINAL REASON FOR DST was to conserve energy during World War I by extending daylight hours in the evening to reduce the need for artificial lighting and save fuel during wartime.. Time for change.

WHAT A GOOD TIME TO EXAMINE OUR LIVES AND CHANGE the things that are causing us to feel fatigued, stressed out, or even depressed. More daylight means more time to get outside, hike with a friend and absorb some vitamin D. You will be amazed at how your energy level will increase. When I changed to a high protein, low carb, low sodium, low caffeine diet I began to sleep better, think more clearly, and have lots more fun. #MoreDayLightToEnjoyLifeMore #lastbestbite.com
