Why Do We Enjoy Before And After Pictures So Much?

Haven't you enjoyed seeing all the graduation pictures alongside their first-day-of-school pictures 13 years before? Why is that? For me, it's more than just a few pictures. It's about seeing a dream come true, seeing the potential of someone or something come to fruition, seeing beyond what is to what can be, and then working hard until it happens—sort of like what God does with us.

The first pictures are what our landscaping looked like when we bought the house three years ago, but what "I" saw then are the pictures I took today.
