Today We Celebrated The Birth Of Our Country; Where Families Are Free To Gather, Pray, Eat, and Laugh.

Everyone usually tries to come to Nana's and Papaw's once a month for our family meal. Today, being the 4th of July made it even more fun. The TV is always blaring with some sports events; today it was the National Hog Dog Eating Championship. There are always a lot of loud conversations going on with no one being afraid to say what they think; the Trump-Biden debate, the G.O.A.T. LeBron or Michael, Payton or Tom. Who is better at board games. How the Vols are going to take it all this year. There is always plenty of food so the kids feel free to make last-minute invites to their friends (We've had as many as 17 at a time). One more thing always happens at our gatherings; we pray- thanking our Lord for being in a nation where we are free to do all those things! Contrary to what some may say, I believe we live in the greatest nation on earth.

I hope you were not only able to celebrate but truly realize how blessed we are to be a citizen of the United States Of America.
